Arts on Tap: Ancestral Women Project with Mary Burns

Arts on Tap, co-sponsored by Olson Memorial Library, is a monthly program featuring performance, presentation and conversation with Northwoods and Wisconsin-based artists.  These offerings are FREE, with cash bar available, and donations accepted.

On October 6, Fiber artist and jacquard weaver Mary Burns has created the “Ancestral Women Exhibit” to honor women elders. This exhibit features hand-woven portraits of women significant to each of Wisconsin’s 12 Native American tribes. This Arts On Tap program will explore the story of the exhibit and the design and weaving process Mary used to create them.
