Turn an Old Book into a New Journal

In this class, Connie Krupp will discuss why keeping a journal is important, types of journals you can create, and why using old books is so rewarding. She will bring examples and demonstrate the step-by-step process of making a journal. She will help you create your own using an old book, various types and weights of paper, waxed string, binding tape, book and bonding glue. Cost is $45.00/ participant which includes all materials, including a collection of discarded hardcover books to choose from. Tools supplied include needles, AWL/push pins, brushes, paper cutter, rulers, X-acto knives, sharp scissors, thread rippers, and clamps. No experience is necessary. Connie Krupp, a retired Social Worker and College Instructor, is a part-time Instructional Design Consultant, a watercolorist, and an avid journalist.
