Handmade Holiday Gifts: Eco-Printing and Eco-Dyeing

  •  December 13, 2016
     10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Discover plant materials cultivated, gathered from the wild, and remnants from the farmers imgres-2market/produce aisle that create color as we experiment with printing/dyeing on silk and then paper.

This 2 1/2 hour class will give you a chance to dip your toe in the water of this process with local artist, Deborah Ketchum Jircik.

Think in terms of muted earthy tones in a range of colors – experiment with pattern made by leaves and basic bundling techniques.

Leave the class with a couple of bundles – a dyed silk scarf and an eco-printed accordion folded paper that can be made into a book – to open up the next morning. All wonderful gifts for the holidays!

Tuition includes 1 silk scarf. Additional scarfs can be purchased the day-of the class if available.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
