For the month of September this class explores the style of American sculptor Louise Nevelson, self-described “architect of light and shadow.” Participants will hear the story of this flamboyant character, who produced bold, yet subtle, monolithic, yet complex work. The instructor will demonstrate how to use found objects and paint to construct monochromatic assemblages inspired by the art of this singular artist.
