Join multi-media artists Cherylyn Gnadt and Debbie Jircik in an exploration mono type gelli plate printing to create several artistic pages. Then continues with a Gocco print cover. The little Gocco press creates an image like a screen print. We will then be taking these gems and with single page binding, pamphlet stitch and/ or accordion folded mini booklets. Ready for continued artistic exploration. A handmade personalized journal makes an excellent gift, also.
All Supplies will be provided but these are optional to bring:
For mono printing:
-An assortment of papers to print on. Old book pages, handmade paper, cover stock, deli paper, sheet music, art paper, anything that will hold up to paint.
-Flat items to make impressions from such as stencils, laser cut scrapbook papers, paper (or plastic/mylar) shapes, ribbon, string or thread, lace…
– Botanical items work great for this. If you pick leaves or flowers, put them in a phone book overnight- but don’t dry them out completely. You want them to be flat but not brittle. Feathers also make great impressions.
– a pair of tweezers to move your printing items aroundFor Gocco:
Your own black and white image. It must be a toner based Xerox in order to work.
$45 per student, supplies included. Online registration closes July 24th.
