Prerequisite:
This is a surface decoration class for intermediate and advanced potters.
Students need to bring bisque fired (hand-built and/or wheel thrown) pottery made with clay purchased at the Warehouse. Alternatively, students can be provided with available bisque-fired pottery. Students need to know basic glazing techniques including waxing bottoms and glaze dipping.
Students will be guided through using a cutting machine to design pottery with vinyl resist. Warehouse glazes will be used to glaze the pottery.
Johanna has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, administrator, and trainer working with survivors of war including refugees, torture survivors, development workers, and veterans in the Netherlands, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and the US. She has written and presented extensively about her work.
Cancellation policy:
Class fees must be paid at the time of registration.
Full refunds or credits will be issued in the event a class or workshop is cancelled.
You must cancel a minimum of a week prior to the class or workshop in order to receive a 75% refund or 100% credit towards a future class.
No refunds or credits will be made for cancelling within a week of the first day of the class or workshop.
