75 MINUTES OF SOOTHING YIN YOGA

You are invited to decompress and enjoy complete relaxation.  This yin practice helps improve sleep, boost circulation, enhance mental focus, promote relaxation, improve flexibility, balance emotions and develop breath awareness.

Yin is a soothing meditative style of yoga.  The goal of yin is to cool the body, nurture it, and gently coax it into releasing and aligning.  There’s nothing forceful and the practice is completed in lying and seated positions… allowing the body to relax and the mind to quiet.

 

Bring a yoga mat, thick beach/bath towel, firm pillow… and if you have other yoga props like a bolster or blocks, bring them along! (Yoga mats and props are available for use at The Warehouse, but if you prefer to bring your own, please do so.)

 

Meet the instructor:  Kirsten Erickson

Kirsten has a BS in Alternative Medicine.  She began her yogic studies at the Sivananda Ashram and continued her Yoga Therapist and Ayurveda training at Inner Peace Yoga Therapy.  She is also trained in Dr. Richard Miller’s IRest (Integrative Restoration Therapy), a holistic therapy used in the Military for PTSD.

 

We will take drop-ins at the door if spots are available. We recommend registering ahead of time to guarantee a spot.
