Clay Surface Decoration Workshop for Intermediate Students

Time: 10:00AM to 4:00pm w/working lunch break (students to bring their own sack lunches)

What can your students expect:
Potter Amy Higgason will demonstrate a variety of surface decoration techniques including carving, stamping, working with underglazes, using/making stencils and sgraffito. Each morning will start with a 2-1/2 to 3 hour demonstration, followed by a 1/2 hour working lunch. During the lunch break, Amy will discuss pottery examples and photos of other artists’ work. After the lunch break, students will explore the techniques hands-on as Amy offers individual attention, and subsequent demonstrations, as needed. Students will supply their own clay and leather hard pieces to work on. Amy will provide a list to all registrants of tools and the types of pieces to bring to the workshop. This list will be sent via email on October 9th.

Cancellation policy:
Class fees must be paid at the time of registration.
Full refunds or credits will be issued in the event a class or workshop is cancelled.
You must cancel a minimum of a week prior to the class or workshop in order to receive a 75% refund or 100% credit towards a future class.
No refunds or credits will be made for cancelling within a week of the first day of the class or workshop.
