Dr. Greg Trudeau is October’s Artist Spotlight. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet this unique Eagle River artist!
October’s Artist Spotlight shines on local wood and epoxy resin-turning artist Greg Trudeau! Dr. Trudeau is a retired accounting professor through the University of Wisconsin system. Before settling in Eagle River, he was Associate Dean of Extension in Madison. Greg retired to Eagle River ten years ago with no wood-turning experience. He began turning only three years ago and has quickly progressed to creating the unique objects featured in his exhibition. Greg turned all the pieces on display on his wood lathe. He enjoys working with spalted wood (wood that has begun to decay) and wood burls (deformed tree growth) and combining these features with colorful epoxy resin. Some of the pieces on display in his exhibit are not for sale. One hundred percent of the proceeds of the items that are for sale benefit the Warehouse.
