January 29: Students will study the design of colorful DVD/Video Game covers, create their own packaging using a variety of drawing materials, and display the finished product in real plastic cases.
Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26:Winter Book Art
Using the theme of Winter, students will spend four sessions to make a book and learn basic book arts techniques using recycled materials including parts from discarded books, learn fun folding techniques to make an accordion and a house book, explore marbling/paste printing, incorporate a haiku poem into their book and illustrate them.
In this 1 per week, 5 week class, students will pick a theme for their book and customize it according to their preferences. The $75 fee includes all materials and supplies, plus a snack for creative fuel.
