Beginning Glazing

This class will give an overview of glazes available at The Warehouse. We will focus on the basics of glazing including waxing, choosing the appropriate glazes for inside and outside of functional pottery. We will discuss preparing glazes for dipping, and dipping techniques. We will also talk about wiping away glaze into surface decoration, and various uses of underglazes.

Each student should bring two pieces of bisqued pottery.
