It’s almost winter and time to prepare to feed those birds that stick around with us through the snow and the chill! The theme for the mixed handbuilding and wheel class is All About Birds. Come and make birds, bowls, mugs, vases, birdfeeders, birdhouses, and more! Students with wheel throwing skills can use a combination of altered wheel thrown forms and hand-built components. Other students will hand-build with slabs and coils.
Wheel throwers need to be comfortable with centering 2 pounds of clay. There are no pre-requisites for hand building students, but it would be helpful for hand building students to have basic skills such as slab-building, coil-building, scoring and slipping.
This is a 4-session series with instructor Johanna Buwalda.
6 students maximum.
