Carolyn Starling & Mark Hovel: LIVE @ Inspiration Bar

New Eagle River resident Carolyn Starling is a seasoned singer and guitarist from a musical family, having performed since childhood, and as a teenager toured with her father who lead a blues and rock band. She later performed in her own group “Carolyn Jo and Company” while raising her two young daughters in Florence, WI. Carolyn draws her inspiration from female artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi and Brandi Carlile, though her heart is in “belting out the blues.” Carolyn partners with Conover musician Mark Hovel, whose multi-acoustic talent includes electric bass/guitar, mandolin and banjo, and he enjoys creating music built on improvisation. Carolyn and Mark’s musical compatibility assures a seamlessly soulful blues experience!
