Calling all home educated students aged 5-8th grades and SOAR Middle Schoolers!

We’re starting a Friday afternoon art class that will run from 1:00-2:30pm, and the final optional hour (’til 3:30pm) can be counted toward your volunteer service hours as you help at The Warehouse with projects large and small.

This 5-session class is an exploration of Caves to Clay: The Art of the Ancients. Local artist Norma Dycus Pennycuff criss-crosses through history and art, leading an exploration of early human creativity.

Lessons include:

  • February 2nd: Cave Art.
  • February 9th: Venus figures.
  • February 16th: Cairn
  • February 23rd: Textiles
  • March 2nd: Cave pottery

Pieces of art created early in this series will be exhibited during our After School Art Exhibit on Saturday, March 3rd from 1-3pm. Please plan to attend this free, family-friendly event.

$75 per student for the 5-session series. $70 for two or more siblings (please call us to arrange at that rate). Registration closes January 29th. Volunteer hour is optional.

The program was supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the Sate of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
