Homeschool Fall session: Understanding Transformation through Exploration

This six-week session will explore various media through the theme of transformation

10:30 – 12:00 noon

6-week session for $60.00/student; $12.00 drop in

Our homeschool schedule is designed to accommodate families with children in both age groups.

We have a teacher and a teacher aid and will be able to divide the group into developmental levels, 9 and under and 10 and older.

This session will run for six consecutive Thursdays: 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18.

The session will be taught by The Warehouse’s executive director, Donna Murray-Tiedge, and various guest artists.

Dr Donna has a BFA in Industrial Design, an MFA in Art & Design, and a PhD in teaching through the arts.

She believes that well-rounded art lessons attend to four main ingredients, art context, form & structure, personal perspective, and production. Everything we create can connect personally, socially, culturally, or historically, in relation to the larger art world. Everything we create contains elements, organizational properties, and expressive features. Everything we create involves medium, tools, techniques, processes.

10/14: Fluid Art with guest Artist, Chris Wichman

Mrs. Wichman has always had a passion for art and working with various mediums. Although she took art courses through school and college, she worked as an executive in the Financial Technology Industry for over 30 years, until retirement in January 2020. At this time, she moved with her husband to their home in Arbor Vitae. This past year, they started our own business called Trillium Designs.

Mrs. Wichman describes herself primarily as a self-taught artist. She has been creating fluid art using various techniques for the last three years. Fluid art is done with acrylic paint liquified with a thinning agent to move the paint on canvas or objects with the objective of creating beautiful organic designs.
