How to Raku: Getting Prepared

On Saturday, July 14th from 9:00 am- 2:00 pm, Artist John Langer will lead a workshop on how to prepare for Raku, a low-firing process inspired by traditional Japanese Raku firing. Participants will discuss the process and prepare pots with Terra Sigillata with the thought of either Saggar firing these pots, or decorating with horse hair and feather carbonization. The actual firing process will take place in a subsequent workshop later in the summer (date to be determined by participant consensus). Cost is $45.00/student.
