In the Style of… Lee Krasner

This class explores the style of American abstract expressionist painter, Lee Krasner, who, as she herself said, “happened to be Mrs. Jackson Pollock, and that’s a mouthful.” Participants will learn about the variety of Krasner’s innovative work, her importance in the abstract expressionist movement, and her legacy as one of the few women artists to have a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art. The instructor will provide step, by step instructions on how to create of a work in the style of Krasner’s graphic symbol paintings

This class is geared for anyone High School aged and up.
