This intermediate level class is for students who are comfortable throwing basic forms (cups, bowls and plates) and want to learn how to expand these skills to make more complex pieces. During the 6-week course, instructor Amy Higgason will demonstrate throwing lidded forms, bottles and pouring pots. Altering wheel thrown forms to make oval/square pots will be demonstrated. She will also show ways to add details like decorative rims and trim decorative feet on wheel-thrown work. Time will be spent with students one-on-one to discuss their specific challenges and goals. See examples of the instructors work at http://www.pigeonroadpottery.com.
