PAUSE to create and connect! Virtual Zoom class (6 week class)

Nurture your creativity and sense of community in this free online class offered through the Warehouse Community Art Center.

Open to adults age 55 and over, participants will pause, breathe, and experiment with watercolor.

Dates: Wednesdays January 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23 (6-week class)

Time: 11am-12:15pm

Instructors: Cindy Conlon and Donna Murray-Tiedge

In the words of art educator Jenna Rainey, “Watercolor is wildly uncontrollable and at the same time containable. It is a visual medium that moves around with ease, creating texture and depth that can’t be found in any other type of medium.”

Join us for this artistic exploration on six consecutive Wednesdays starting on January 19th from 11 am to 12:15pm last class on February 23rd.

Each participant will be provided with a watercolor kit including brush* as well as professional artist-quality paper.

Participant-required materials: 2-3 containers of water, pencil, masking or painter’s tape, old towel or paper towel

Optional materials: ruler, 2 white dinner plates

 

Class size will be limited to 25 people.

Warehouse staff will confirm your registration via email and provide details about how to pick up class materials and access the Zoom link.

Materials: (4) sheets 4-1/2″ x 6″, (5) sheets 9″ x 12″, (1) sheet 18″ x 24″ watercolor paper; *watercolor set w/ #7 brush.

*Returning Art of Breathing participants should already have a watercolor kit.
