Ojibwe Art Presentation by Dick Mindykowski

Join guest speaker, Dick Mindykowski, a Lac Courte Oreilles tribal member and artist, as he talks about the native way of life from having embraced Ojibwe teachings passed generationally by his mother and extended family since childhood. He will also share his experiences in community service, including participation in the Great Lakes Fishing and Wildlife Commission. He will demonstrate the traditional significance of his art pieces, all of which are made of natural elements. His creations include walking sticks, dancing staffs, tomahawks, shields, rattles and dreamcatchers, which will be on display and for sale.
