R.O.C.K. “Rock Out and Create” for Kids

Open to Junior High and High School Students

Conceptualized by: Alyssa Imse

   

This program is open to any junior high and high school students who enjoy music! Please bring your instrument(s) if you have one.

Meetings will consist of: group discussions learn everyone’s music tastes, discussion of which instruments everyone is interested in learning/already know how to play, learning new instruments, and start to learn new music together and/or have a quick group jam session.

Students may also learn about chord structures and keys, music theory and music history, how to read guitar tabs and sheet music, and work on learning songs together to play together as a group!

 

 

R.O.C.K. meetings may also count towards school credit.

Possible ways to earn credit:
1. Community service (for concert nights)
2. Oration Credit (Concert nights applicable to SOAR students)
3. History Credit (Also might only be applicable to SOAR students)
