A two lesson evening workshop for advanced beginner/intermediate wheel throwers who can throw at least a cylinder.

See demos of all the fun and integral parts of making a mug on the pottery wheel. The first night will focus on throwing various shaped vessel forms, with attention to skins and lips, and the second night will focus on trimming feet and pulling and attaching handles. Both evenings will feature a demo/explanation with time for questions and mentored wheel throwing  and making after.

*bring your own Warehouse purchased clay; white, buff, manganese, etc. You can also purchase a 25lb bag of clay for $68.58 or up to five pounds at $3/lb for this project. Open Studio membership is not required to take this class, but can be helpful time to work on skills outside of class.

McCall is a mom of two young kiddos, the Warehouse’s Marketing Director, and an avid oil painter and ceramist in her free time, creating usually weird and whimsical surrealist portraits. She got her degree in ceramics from UW-Madison and was a high/middle school art teacher in Colorado before moving to the Northwoods. You can find her Instagram here

Cancellation policy:
Class fees must be paid at the time of registration.
Full refunds or credits will be issued in the event a class or workshop is cancelled.
You must cancel a minimum of a week prior to the class or workshop in order to receive a 75% refund or 100% credit towards a future class.
No refunds or credits will be made for cancelling within a week of the first day of the class or workshop.
