Learn advanced handbuilding techniques using slabs and slump molds with artist Cynthia Davis.

Cynthia Davis is a second generation potter and clay sculptor. She began working alongside her mother at age 11 learning basic techniques handbuilding in clay. Through years of working her education and skill grew and even before graduating high school she was regularly selling her pieces and accepting commissions. She later began an artist in residence position at Blossom Hill Crafts in Los Gatos, California. For six years she taught classes, produced her own line of work and expanded her knowledge in all areas of clay. As a career artist, Cynthia has since expanded her medium to include design and illustration and mostly works in those areas. However, she greatly enjoys revisiting the discipline of clay and is excited to share her expertise in a new area of the country and with new people.

All experience levels welcome to this class. Ages  14 and up (special exception made for mature middle school students who are taking the class along side a guardian) are welcome.

The series of 4 sessions will include 25lbs of clay. The Warehouse will provide basic tools, but if an individual has certain tools they would like to bring, please do.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
