Clay Pumpkins

*Intermediate level class, prior handbuilding or wheel throwing experience necessary *

Make beautiful and fun clay pumpkins, seeing demos and skills for both wheel throwing and handbuilding pinch pots into pumpkins, then decorating with additional clay or carving out jack-o-lantern designs.

Some decoration techniques that will be discussed;

• Sodium silicat
• slip
• underglazes
• oxides and glaze
• raku
• carve or cut out design
• stencils and textures

Each student will be provided with 5 pounds of clay.

There will be a 12 person max for this class, with six stationed on the wheels and six for handbuilding. When you sign up, you register for the station you want to be at, though the possibility of switching/sharing spaces can happen so participants can do both.

Cancellation policy:
Class fees must be paid at the time of registration.
Full refunds or credits will be issued in the event a class or workshop is cancelled.
You must cancel a minimum of a week prior to the class or workshop in order to receive a 75% refund or 100% credit towards a future class.
No refunds or credits will be made for cancelling within a week of the first day of the class or workshop.

A $5 processing fee will be charged for refunded classes.
