Come to the Warehouse and learn to make a twined rug. Twined rug making is a primitive craft, developed in the colonies when rugs were needed and materials were not available except clothing and household goods that had worn out.

In the class you will be given all the materials needed to make a small, 16/24″ mat, including the frame (to keep) warp and twining fabric. You will learn the basics needed to make the rug. A larger frame with a rug in process will be available for you to “play”on.

Ann Wichmann of Eagle River has been teaching rug hooking, punching and twining for many years. She loves all forms of fiber art and is a member of the Artistree Cooperative in Land o’ Lakes.

$55 (includes materials) per person;Students should bring a sack lunch and sharp fabric scissors.  Ages 10 and up are welcome!  Bring a lunch or grab some grub from one of the nearby restaurants!
