What does KARAOKE mean? It is a Japanese term combining kara which means “empty” + ōke, which is short for ōkesutora, or “orchestra.”
The Warehouse has a new Karaoke machine which is a device that plays instrumental accompaniments for a selection of songs to which the user sings along.
